The three bus routes going through Malden that are being cut, 108, 411, and 430, each have 832, 389, and 441 trips each day, respectively. Assuming that if each of these buses have 10 passengers riding on them each trip, 16,620 people will be left without a convenient system of transportation on a daily basis. But that's also assuming that each trip a bus make will only get 10 passengers per trip, which there are certainly more, possibly going up to the 30s in passenger count per bus. Additionally that is only three bus stops that goes through Malden alone, if we were to add in all the other bus stops then the numbers or people affected could rise up to the hundred of thousands, possibly millions.
